cause god forbid a black girl should be confident. and not just confident but actually loving and enjoying who she is an expressing her full subjectivity in public. i honestly think ppl would be less unnerved if she got pregnant and a crack addiction.

And what kills me is that she’s not singing about boys or sex or “grown” things at all - at least not that I’ve heard. She’s just singing about being yourself, having a good time, and going to parties.

EXACTLY. which, again, black women are seen as sluts no matter what we do. looks at the way Willow gets talked about in relation to Taylor Swift, who sings about nothing but boys, pretty much. which is what slutwalk and sex positive f*eminism fails to take into account.

Can someone explain to me the too grown bit. She  dresses in technicolor is ALWAYS with an adult , and sings about whipping her hair and her bright and open fut…..
