// I am NOT an activist//
So you know the post that is becoming a longer post
Here itis
You have movements because well the system sucks
Not because it’s fashionable not because it says something good about you
You do those things because they make you feel good
and that is okay
I’m not an activist
I’m a writer . an intellectual
but until i go out and actively do some shit
NOT an activist
An article does not feed
It does not clothe
It does not donate
It does not hold.
If I write something and you feel it
It may be some skill of mine but the thing that happens is within you
but unless WE come together and do something that shakes us that sacrifices that pulls and reframes
we are not a movement
It was probably obvious to all and sundry who read my blog/writings for the past year that I was a burnout

This was pretty much how I felt by the end of 2008, burnt out and dead.

Too many of the good ones are burned out. Says something about the sustainability of (our? their? whose?) movements, ay?

Agreed. I am also bitter and resentful. It will pass, I suspect.
